A Brit Abroad

Hello Hola Hello Hola

Today's topic is my life in Spain!

I have been living in Spain since 2005, but I am originally from England (North Yorkshire)

When I first found out I was moving to another country, I had so many mixed emotions I was angry because I had to leave all my friends, Scared because I had to make new ones, but Excited that I would soon be able to speak a new language and my life would be like a constant holiday.

I was definitely thrown into the deep end as was dumped in a Spanish School not understanding anyone or anything, school was definitely a challenge and due to not speaking the language I had to repeat the first two years but in the end I finished school and went on to college with high marks so that is something I am V. proud of.

So Today I thought I would make a list of pros and cons of living in Spain!

Pros

* You become bilingual ( which is amazing being able to speak more than one language)
* The summers over here are amazing
* The lifestyle is very relaxing
* Houses are very cheap
* I met my soon to be husband on the first day of school here, so if it weren't for Spain I wouldn't have met him.
* There's always some sort of bank holiday ( and I love days off)

Cons

* It can be very boring as there isn't much to do except in the summer
* The shops aren't as good.
* I miss the cinema! even though I understand the language it's not the same to watching a film in English
* FOOD the restaurants over here aren't that good tbf, there is nothing like tgi fridays, Chiquitos .... (so hungry)
* Everything seems to be 10 times difficult than it's supposed to be, It is literally non stop paper work!

If you are/have/ or thinking about moving to Spain or abroad and need some advice I would be more than happy to help as I know how difficult it can be adjusting.

My Youtube Phobia!

Hello.... :)

For about a year I've been toying with the idea of making youtube videos, I started in April last year uploaded them and deleted them out of fear.

Then at Christmas I got a new camera as I really wanted to give YouTube another go, I've done a few videos from Vlogs,to baking videos, wedding experiences and I have just started to get confidence..... and I chickened out! I haven't deleted my videos but have changed them from public to unlisted scared that someone I know will see them or people from work.

I really want to carry on doing YouTube but will just have to be a bit secretive for a while I will always have the links posted on here or twitter but just know someone can't stumble across my channel (even though I want them to) makes me feel a lot more comfortable it's weird isn't it?

My latest video was my "That time..... I tried on a wedding dress" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fg1gnwoaVrw

And I will be uploading my British TAG Tomorrow.

It's all very scary the world of YouTube and we should all support each other so if there's anyone out there need support or just a confidence boost feel free to send me links.

Lots of love people!
