Dealing with Migraines!

If you have or still suffer really bad with Migraines, I feel for you!

I started to get really bad migraines when I was 13, at first they were just now and then and I would have to go to bed then they I started to get them 2 a week and end up being sick and passing out and missing 3 days of the week due to being in bed so much.

They really got me down and I felt like they held me back with a lot of things, for example we went camping one day and I was so excited because I had never been before and it was with all my friends and we had planned it months before, but I started to get a migraine and was asleep in the tent through all of it!

I was being sick so much that I had nothing on me and I just felt drained all the time even when I had slept all week, I even went to the neurologist and had MRI scans just to find a solution because tablets weren't working. The doctors just said you suffer with Migraines, when you feel like you are getting one just go into a dark room and sleep. Best advice ever.... How am I supposed to go into a dark room when I'm in the middle of a class or exam, if that was the case I would have practically been living in a whole!

Luckily when I got to 19 they started to become less frequent and I only get them 1 a month instead of a weekly thing, but there's a downfall, now I only get them once a month they seem to last longer.

I got a migraine Tuesday and I still have one now (Saturday) I seem to have more neck pain than head pain but it still hurts. That's why I'm writing this post, to give some fellow migraine sufferers some tips on how I cope with them and hoping that they would return some.

Here are a few things that help me deal with migraines.

1. Sleep: I know its difficult as you can't just drop to sleep when you want but it really does help.
2. Getting over it: Sometimes I feel one coming and I just get over it by keeping busy, it makes me forget the pain and I can carry on with my everyday routine
3. Massage: My neck really hurts when I have a migraine and always in the same place, I had a massage once when I was Ill and it took the pressure pain from my neck.
4. Ice on your neck: going back to the neck pain, getting some frozen peas or anything cold and putting it on your neck can help, well it does for me.
5. Apples: I don't drink enough water which is probably what causes it, once I have a headache just because I start drinking water then doesn't make it go, but apples really help me (don't know why) I think its the sourness from them.

Hope these help you...., and if you have any tips and tricks on dealing with migraines please share because so many people suffer with them.

Thankies

Saving for a Wedding! - 6 months to go!

So I am getting married in 6 months and I feel like I haven't paid a thing, I have but not as much as I would have liked to.

So with 6 months 199 days to go, I'm kinda freaking out! paying for the wedding isn't impossible but it is a struggle. These next months will just consist of me inside my house eating pasta!

I know it will be worth it in the end, but the most important thing is to make sure Mikey and I remember why we are saving in the first place, sometimes a wedding can become all about other people and not about you as a couple and I refuse to let that happen. I've seen it happen so many times, couples literally screaming at each other all because of the stress from funding for the wedding.

My advice is you don't have to cater to your guests 100%, you are already paying for them to eat. so why stress even more thinking about paying for transport from the church to the hotel, which is my case, I'm trying to cancel it because its a lot of money for a 5 minute bus trip.

Anyhow 10 euros a day, saves for a perfect wedding day!

KINGSMAN - review

We've been waiting ages to watch this film and Sunday it finally happened. Living in Spain you are very limited to going to the cinema, there are cinemas everywhere but I like to watch the films in English even though I would understand it if I watched it in Spanish, but it's not the same hearing another person voice someone else, especially when you know the voice of the actor, like Colin Firth.

Anyway I loved this film, it had the right amount of action and comedy init for me, it wasn't to action filled where I get bored after the 100th fighting scene and not too much comedy where I think that they're taking the peep a bit! I laughed a lot and was also hanging of the sofa at some points not being able to deal with the suspense.

The story was really good, don't want to give to much away but I thought it was a really clever idea for a movie.

The characters: the cast was perfect as there were a lot of English actors from films that Mikey likes watching (Rock n Rolla, two smoking barrels) so he was hooked as soon as he saw them. Samuel L. Jackson was my favourite, he was a baddy which I liked because I've never really seen him play a villan and he was soo funny in it. Colin Firth as per amazing his character for me was a cross between James Bond and Mary Poppins. The main character was really good too, especially when there were so many huge actors, played his roll very well and a very cheeky chap.

I really hope there is a sequel to this film, as we all love a good spy film in this house and it's something we can both watch!

Bad things come in 3's!

Helloooooo

Start of a new week! and know it's going to be a good week. why? because it can't be any worse than last week, well it better not be! Last week was something I didn't need, unnecessary added stress!

1. My car broke down

Tuesday morning I got in the car can't remember where I was going. I couldn't get it into gear! nightmare! so I had to call the tow truck, this is the second time in 2 weeks! and if that wasn't bad enough as soon as it got to the garage it worked again, but there's obviously something is up with it so I've had to have a brand new clutch put in. I work about 40 minutes away from where I live and have strange hours so It's a bit of a pain getting a lift, for the way home I got a taxi, Tuesday and Wednesday which was 100 euros! and he was an hour late on Tuesday didn't get home till half 11!
Luckily it's fixed now, and will be getting a new car after the wedding!

2. Windows falling on us

This is a long story but basically our upstairs balcony door windows thingy aren't fitted properly, someone tried to rip us off when fitting our windows thought he could get away with it because we are young, gave us windows that didn't fit, we refused to pay and haven't heard from him since. cutting to the chase they are basically balanced and I don't know what happened but 2am these heavy window doors fell on us almost squashed the dog because he sleeps at the bottom of the bed! I was more pissed off because it was the day the car was fixed so I felt like it was one thing after another really......

3. Lost my charm

well they do say bad things come in threes and for me this was the last straw, for my 21st birthday Mikey bought me a pandora charm of the Eiffel Tower, which means so much to me because it was a few days after getting back from Paris and he had just proposed  to me! I know when I take my pandora bracelet off it falls off but I'm always really careful and I only take it off at home. I've blitzed the whole house and I can't find it :(

So I'm hoping for some good luck this week! fingers crossed!

Crazy for BBQ's

I don't know whereabouts you are but it is HOT HOT HOT in Spain!

As the weather is scorching and we are only in May (dreading June, July, August) we've gone a bit crazy at home and swapped our Sunday dinners for BBQ's! which is lush as I don't have to do any cooking, BBQ's are Mikey's thing. All I have to do is sit in the sun and relax.

Another plus there isn't much washing up! Paper plates are the one! but, I can see myself getting bored of them already and summer is just beginning! need to find some new and different recipes.
I can hear pinterest calling!

TURNING INTO BRIDEZILLA?

Okay so I think I'm turning into bridezilla! and that is not the road I want to go down, I'm already psycho enough as it is!

My problem is.. I feel that people aren't as excited as the should be (haha), which is totally understandable as it's not their wedding, of course I'm going to be the most excited, but every time I talk about which is every day at some point it's like "oh god here we go again, Rosie's talking". Then I start getting frustrated.

I completely understand though because if was someone else's wedding I would probably have the same face as they do when they talk, but oh well I have the right to be a bridezilla now and then don't I? just hope it's not a regular thing!

On that note.... I've just uploaded The Engagement Tag on my youtube channel! so if you want more info on how it all began. Just press play :D

A day out to... MUNDOMAR

Heyyyy

Friday was amazing! it was a Red day here which means no work! woop woop! so we took the opportunity to have a little day out together.

We went to Mundomar a sea life park which is located in Benidorm, it was so much fun we saw loads of animals and our favourite part were the shows!

I know there's a lot of debate that its not fair for the animals to be in places like that and they should be in the wild, and I do agree to a certain extent, but I found the trainers and carers loved their animals very much and as the animals to them. It could all be an act and I would hate for it to be any different but in my opinion it seemed like a very nice place for them to live and there was an opportunity to be a trainer for the day, which I would love to do and see how the animals are taken care of. It's a lot of money though and a day out to Mundomar isn't a cheap day out.

It made a lovely change from being in the house, nice spending time with Mikey.

I vlogged the whole day so if you fancy coming along here it is >>>
